OBJECTIVES:

1. To create community fun and Cammaraderie.
2. To enhance competency among Community members.
3. To give opportunity to all artists who are
willing to join in an open competition around the world.
4. To give exposure to all participants and inspire them to achieve excellence.
5. To exactly see the colored version of the provided lineart and to display a different
way of rendering of it.

WHO CAN JOIN?

1. Open to all person, group, club or studio
with a Deviant Art (www.deviantart.com) account and PAYPAL(www.paypal.com). Professionals, amateurs and students.No age limit.

A deviantart acccount is needed for DA posting and submission purposes.

There is a NEED for a Paypal account for easy payment to winners.Other payment methods will not be granted.

HOW CAN WE JOIN?

1. Simply download the provided lineart in this

2. Color it any process and style you want.
Color references for the characters are

3. Submission of entry can be done by uploading your work in your DA gallery With a deviation title: "LOV Coloring Contest Entry".

4. After uploading your artwork, you will need to note it [link].
Please put " LOV Coloring Contest Entry"
in the subject. Failure to put the title
subject in your note will not be entertained
and will be immediately deleted to avoid
confusion.
5. All submissions will be opened a
week before the journal display of entries.

6. Only one entry is allowed per Deviant member.

DEADLINE OF ENTRIES will be on AUGUST 30, 2008,
Saturday , 12:00 Midnight Philippine Times. A
2months deadline will give us all ample time
to your entries.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

CREATIVITY........................30%
( additional effects,add- ons, choice of color
and rendetion)

TECHNICAL MASTERY.................30%
( Lineart Retention,color Consistency,
dpi clarity/sharpness, Neatness and
other digital preparation)

ORIGINALITY.......................20%
( Never been seen coloring style before)

OVER-ALL IMPACT...................20%
( The x-factor, un explainably pleasing
to the eye)

JUDGING and JUDGES

1. Judging will be split into two: The elimination round (choosing of finalists) and the final judging.

2. Judges will be announced a week after the deadline of Entries.

3. There will be 5 judges for the elimination
round and final judging.

4. Finalists will be announced a week
after the deadline of Entries.

5. Winners will be announce two weeks
after the deadline of Entries.


GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATIONS

1. Commenting harsh/foul words to other
participants or entries.
2. By Protest. All protest wil be entertained 1 week before the deadline of entries. Not all protest will be granted But it would be highly appreciated if you have one.

AFTERMATH

1. All participants will have ALL the rightS
to their own artworks, But we are asking
not to delete you highres file for future references.(Digital files only)

2. Winners and fInalists wil be asked to submit the original high res files of
the artworks in Jpeg oR Tiff format. (Digital Files only)
